Assignment Statistics
Statistical data are available for each assignment. You can get to these statistics through two paths:
- Click the name of the assignment on your course page, then click View Assignment Statistics at the top-right.
- Click Grades on the left of your course page, and then click the name of the assignment.
The statistics are broken down into two tables: Item Statistics and Student Stastics.
Item Statistics
The Item Statistics table shows class data for each item in the assignment. A colored bar shows:
- The number of students who were scored as correct on the question, colored from green (average of 1 attempt per student) through yellow (average of 4 attempts per student).
- The number of students who were scored as incorrect on the question, colored from white (average of 1 attempt per student) through red (average of 4 attempts per student).
- The number of students who did not attempt the question (this bar is always white).
Mouse over each section of this bar for more details.
In addition, the table shows:
- The average score for all students on that item (from 0% to 100%).
- The item ID of the question (our internal tracking number).
- The title of the question, with a link to a preview of the question.
- The topic of the question.
- The author-defined difficulty of the question (easy, medium, or hard).
- A link to report any bugs you find in the question.
Student Statistics
The Student Statistics tables shows details of each student's responses on the assignment. The colored blocks show that student's performance on that particular item, colored in a similar manner to the Item Table. Mouse over each cell for additional information. Click on a student's name to review their attempt at the assignment.
