Sapling Learning Announces Biochemistry Online Homework ---------------- 8/20/2009
Sapling Learning has added Biochemistry to its list of courses served by online homework. A Fall 2009 pilot is being conducted at the University of Texas at Austin. Online homework will be made generally available for Spring 2010 courses. If you are interested in adopting Sapling Learning for your Biochemistry course, please let us know.
Sapling Learning Announces Chemical Engineering Online Homework ---------------- 8/15/2009
Chemical Engineering is a subject not well served by online homework, despite the need for students to work difficult problems and receive instruction when they struggle. Sapling Learning is conducting Fall 2009 pilots with 4 large universities for the introductory chemical engineering course typically called "Mass and Energy Balances." Interested instructors can adopt our Chemical Engineering online homework software for Spring 2010 courses. If you would like to see a demonstration please let us know.

Sapling Learning and Thinkwell Announce Strategic Partnership ---------------- 3/20/2009
Sapling Learning announced a strategic partnership with Thinkwell to integrate over 300 of Thinkwell’s multimedia Chemistry lectures into their flagship online homework and assessment product, SaplingLearning.com. The product will be marketed as SaplingLearningTM Plus ThinkwellTM. From within a particular SaplingLearning question or tutorial, students can seamlessly pull up the associated Thinkwell multimedia lecture to learn more about the topic. Sapling will include links to over 50 hours of Thinkwell’s Chemistry multimedia lectures.

Fall pilots are being run at 4 universities for both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Sapling Hires New VP of Development ---------------- 2/1/2008
Sapling Systems announces a new VP of Product Development, Paulo Vieira. Paulo brings over 15 years of software development experience. He has successfully managed development teams in Fortune 500 companies as well as startups. Paulo specializes in high availability, highly scalable applications and credited with successful launches of financial applications for General Motors, energy trading systems for DTE Energy (with thousands of trades per second), traffic management solutions for Siemens, just to name a few. Mr. Vieira is a founding partner of Integritas Solutions, a software services provider in Brazil with clients in South, Central, and North America and brings with him a pool of development experts in a variety of subjects. Paulo is a two-time DEMO Conference demonstrator. DEMO is one of the world's most prestigious new technology launch, invitation-only events.
New Director of Content Products Announced ---------------- 11/12/2007
Dr. Brian Arneson has been promoted to director of Content Products. Since joining the company full-time in the summer of 2006, Brian has made significant authoring contributions to a wide range of projects in chemistry and physics. He has stepped forward with ideas and solutions for customer's content support needs, and he led the organization and implementation of our team-based authoring process, which has improved the efficiency quality of our work. Sapling is excited to have Brian in this role and looks forward to his continued contributions.
