Positions we currently have a need to fill:

Software Developer or Senior Software Developer

We at Saplinglearning.com are growing fast and looking for some talented developers to join our ranks.

Our platform, built in Flash and integrated with Moodle, is quickly evolving and a lot of new development will be needed in the next few months. If you enjoy a totally relaxed work environment, love the startup buzz, and are a fan of impromptu foosball tournaments, we'd like to hear from you. Oh, right, you must also have these skills:

  • Flash/Flex expertise: We really need someone with more than basic skills. You must know your way around very, very well, preferably including ActionScript2 expertise. Experience with RemoteObjects, at least one MVC framework (such as Cairngorm, Mate, PureMVC, etc), customization of UI components are a must.
  • LAMP: We work on a full LAMP stack. PHP, however, is crucial.
  • Reasonable knowledge of common Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, ExtJS, etc.
  • Experience working with onsite and offsite teams, including offshore.
  • Moodle LMS: If you have solid experience in Moodle, your odds are that much higher.
  • Java: good knowledge would be great, but not yet a top requirement.

And, the most important, you *must* be a self starter, very motivated, ready to tackle anything. As said before, we are constantly evolving and would like you to be able to keep up with the pace.

We offer a very competitive salary, generous benefits package, and an awesome work environment.

If interested, please send your resume to paulo@saplinglearning.com, and let me know why you think you'd be great for this position.
